Q Revision is one of the most important aspects in the writing process. This week, you will have an opportunity to revise some of the work you have written previously, including the first draft of the essay you wrote last week. While you are waiting for feedback on your Week 6 Essay, start by reviewing feedback you received on your Week 5 Essay. Then, follow the steps listed below for your first post. 1. Navigate to the assignment in the Grades tab of your Canvas menu and find a sentence or passage that has been marked with an error or other feedback on ways to improve. 2. Copy the sentence or passage with the error, and underneath it, write your revision based on the given suggestions. 3. Finally, explain in a statement or two what the error was and what you did to address it.
Q Once your professor has an opportunity to provide feedback on your Week 6 Essay, you can begin revising passages from that, which you need to do anyway by Sunday to complete your final draft. For all revisions you post in this discussion, please use a before and after format so class members can see what you revised. Helpful Hint: Starting on page xxi of the table of contents in Common Ground is a detailed listing with page numbers of all the items contained in the grammar and mechanics handbook section of our textbook. Use it if you need help to revise common errors for correctness and clarity.
